Flamingos and tropical prints are all the rage right now. I couldn't wait to use some of my newest Stampin' Up! stamps and inks to create this fun layered flamingo card. I used two different stamp sets to create the card. This card was created for part of Scrapbook and Cards Today's National Scrapbook Day celebration. I shared more details HERE on their blog. This post includes an awesome challenge and giveaway. Hop on over to learn more. Keep reading this post for more information on how to create this gorgeous, tropical card.
To create the foundation for the card, I used green stamping ink to stamp the tropical palm leaves onto green cardstock.
Then I use the layered flamingo stamp set to create the flamingo and the seaside scene. I used a light, caramel brown ink to outline the flamingo. I wanted the details to be subtle and for the color of the flamingo to stand out a little more. I used chalk to color in the water detail after stamping the water image with blue stamping ink. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.
